The decor is clean and fresh, and obviously newly done. The beds are comfortable and the provision of items in the kitchen very comprehensive. The long rear garden is a delight.

We had a wonderful stay at the Fishermen's Retreat. the cottage was cozy and well-appointed, with a cute fireplace stove that added a nice touch to our evenings. the countryside setting was absolutely beautiful, and we enjoyed spending time in the stunning garden and relaxing by the river. the main bedroom was lovely and light, with a comfortable large bed and thoughtful amenities like bedside lights and a vanity table. the cottage had all the necessary amenities and provided a comfortable and peaceful retreat. We especially appreciated the warm welcome of sherry and chocolates. We also found two great pubs nearby with delicious food, including the Seven Stars which was just a short drive away. Cons: For us, the Fishermen's Retreat was ideal. 👍.

The cottage was spotless, warm and welcoming. We were visited by the owners to check that all was well but otherwise, left to get on with our stay.
We were a bit surprised to be asked to strip the beds before we left. Although we were happy to do it, this wouldn't normally happen at a hotel. But it is a minor point in an otherwise perfect stay.

We loved the secluded location of the cottage and was perfect for a couple to have a weekend break away from busy city life. It was clean and well equiped. Loved the wildlife, especially the birds - saw so many different kinds which was fantasic!
Would have loved a few more board games or a pack of cards for the odd rainy day! Other than that, the cottage was perfect for our every need.

The location of the cottage is stunning, set in peaceful and idyllic countryside with a beautiful garden stretching to the river. the main bedroom is lovely and light, with a comfortable large bed. the cottage is well-furnished, with a cozy fireplace and thoughtful touches such as sherry and chocolates as a welcome gesture.
The beds and sofa in the cottage were found to be extremely uncomfortable, which can be inconvenient for a longer stay.

Friendly staff who provided great tips and information on local restaurants to try. The location is a fantastic place for a couples getaway- peaceful, and quiet. It was a great place to settle in and relax after a busy day spent amongst the crowds in Bath. We had dessert by the water's edge, and drinks by a cosy fire in the evening.

It was very quiet and relaxing.
I was sharing with a friend and she had a tiny room whilst I had a huge room. We were not given the option of using the same room even though the double bed consisted of 2 singles which we didn't realise until we stripped the sheets at the end of the stay. It was much more remote than anticipated or indicated in the information.

enjoyed the peaceful location and stunning views, perfect for a city break in Bath. Loved the beautiful garden and waking up to the sounds of birds singing. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.
Stairs were too tight and steep.

Lots of personal touches we weren't expecting- it was like staying in a home from home. Beautiful location, very peaceful, all we could hear was birdsong and the stream all day but close enough to the very centre of Bath that the bus was £1.50 and a hackney £9.50. We're in the process of booking for summer!

We definitely got our money's worth at Fishermen's Retreat - Self Catering. The room was clean and cozy, with a nice view of the garden. The location was perfect, with the peacefulness of the countryside but still just a short drive away from Bath. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The breakfast offerings could have been better.

The master bedroom at Fishermen's Retreat is like a dream come true! The super comfy king-sized bed, wrapped in soft Egyptian cotton sheets, made me feel like royalty. I slept like a baby all night long!
Although the shower room was well-equipped, I personally prefer a bathtub for a relaxing soak. But hey, that's just my personal preference, others might still find it perfect!

A peaceful and picturesque location, perfect for a relaxing retreat. The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped, with excellent communication from the host. The check-in process was seamless and the cottage was spotlessly clean. The surrounding countryside and beautiful garden added to the charm. It was a great base for exploring the area, with a delightful walk into town and a short drive back. a cozy and enjoyable stay that we would love to repeat.
Would be happy to recommend this retreat.

We had a lovely and comfortable stay at Fishermen's Retreat. The location was peaceful and beautiful, with a charming garden and a stream nearby. The communication with the management was excellent and they were very helpful. The cottage itself was well equipped and cozy, and we enjoyed sitting by the wood burner on a chilly evening.
